The congregation is invited to bring nonperishable food items on the first Sunday of each month which are added to other items collected by Hudson churches. Once a month, a group of Hudsonites from various churches packs food boxes with the donations and additional food from the Midwest Food Bank, to be distributed to Hudson area families in need. Hudson UMC members are excited to be part of this effort to care for our neighbors. Thanks to all who have contributed or helped with food packing!
Our children lead us each Sunday to collect change to provide formula for infant health and nutrition in the Bloomington-Normal area. Since 2014 this has resulted in the donation of thousands of ounces of formula for impoverished families in the community, thanks to the help and generosity of our children and those contributing spare change each Sunday.
